At Sern Sapp, we bring the vibrant flavors and warmth of Lao street food to the heart of Madison. Rooted in tradition and inspired by the everyday rhythm of life in Laos, our dishes are crafted to be shared, savored, and remembered, we aim to make this our mission on each of your visit.

In Lao, “Sern” means to invite and to welcome. “Sapp” means delicious. We invite you to experience both.

Whether you’re stopping in for breakfast or grabbing a quick lunch, picking up a meal to enjoy in the office or at home, our food celebrates the moments that connect us. From early aromatic broths, to seared meats and veggies with fresh herbs to comforting noodle bowls and sticky rice, every dish reflects the heart of Lao cooking—simple, bold, and full of flavor.

We're aiming to be a close nit place where community meals will be a norm, where meeting new friends will lead to new shared stories and time will slow and stretch out a little but for us to enjoy eachothers company over delicious meals and some spirits.
